Character Pairing: Clint Barton x Bucky Barnes x Sharon Carter x Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff x Sam Wilson x F!Reader

Word Count: 1977

Warnings: smut (MF, vaginal sex, sex in front of a mirror)

Synopsis:  When Sam Wilson is set up on a blind date, he doesn’t expect anything to come from it.  He is already in a relationship after all, and not just with one other person, but a whole group of them.
You never expected to end up working for the Avengers let alone be dating six of them at the same time.  Now you’re balancing a new job, a new romance, new friends, and a secret that could destroy a lot of lives if it got out.  It’s a tricky balance to get right at the best of times, but when something happens to Steve Rogers it’s up to the people who love him most to get him back.

6. You

The first day of training to be an agent for the Avengers left you feeling exhausted and a little overwhelmed.  Along with the three-and-a-half mile run, there had been an hour and a half of cross-fit that moved around on a circuit and each group was split up based on fitness levels.  You had started in a group that was being led by Maria Hill, your direct supervisor, but when she realized you were outperforming everyone in it, you were bumped up two levels and ended up in a group with Sharon, three full agents, and four recruits.  Sharon hadn’t talked with you the way you had on the run with Clint and Sam but you assumed that was more because of the fact you were in a group and it not being safe to talk.

After cross-fit, the recruits were taken to a shooting range.  There was a brief lunch and then you were all taken to a gun range for target practice.  Then there was hand-to-hand combat training, and finally, you’d done some programming with Natasha who seemed to keep a closer eye on you than the rest of the group.

5. Clint

Clint had been excited when Sam had come to the group suggesting that they consider adding someone else.  First of all, he loved Sam and he trusted his opinion.  If Sam had met someone he had shared such instant chemistry with, then in Clint’s mind, that could never be a bad thing.  The other thing was, Clint’s capacity to love was boundless.  He didn’t trust easily, and he hated being around a bunch of strangers, but if he chose someone, they were his person and he would love them so hard and so protectively.  The problem was he was an absolute disaster within a standard monogamous relationship.  He flirted with other people.  He misread cues.  He would get super passionate about things and end up fighting with them.  Once he even cheated on a girlfriend because he didn’t realize she thought they were at the exclusive part of the relationship.  It hadn’t been malicious, but it had happened and it had ended up hurting her really badly.

The thing he had now with Steve, Sam, Bucky, Natasha, and Sharon was everything he had ever needed in a relationship.  He had so many people he loved.  They didn’t mind if he flirted with other people.  If Clint blew up and got huffy about something there was always a mediator there to talk him down.  He never felt completely alone or completely misunderstood.

4. You

It was strange how everything seemed to happen all at once.  You went from single without any real dating prospects and a series of jobs rather than a career, to the potential of having six significant others and a career with the Avengers within a week.

After taking a couple of days to think about the two very different offers you’d received, you decided to accept them both.

Your first group date was back at the tower for dinner and you were extremely nervous.  The idea of having to get a relationship to work with six people you barely knew seemed impossible.  You hadn’t been able to get a relationship to work with just one person before, how could you do it with six?  Not to mention that they all knew each other and loved each other.  They had strong bonds they’d built over time and you were just a stranger who had a couple of really nice dates with one of them.  It was going to take an open mind, a lot of work, and even more patience.

3. Tony

Tony Stark had had a great night.  He and Pepper had gone to a gala and then an afterparty.  She looked hot.  He looked hot.  They had been surrounded by hot people, most of whom were actually interesting to speak to and had intelligent and useful things to say about clean energy innovation, rather than the usual vapid airheads, narcissists, and sycophants he used to attract.  On top of all of that, everyone partied like people who only had a chance to do so once a year and this was it.

Tony was drunk and giddy and very, very happy to be where was at this exact point in time.

There was a crowd gathered around the entrance to the Avengers Tower.  That wasn’t unusual.  There was always a collection of autograph hunters, paparazzi, fans, and people who either wanted to thank or berate the Avengers for the work they did.

2. You

There had been a lot of different dates you’d had in your life.  Good dates.  Bad dates.  Fun dates.  Boring dates.  You’d done everything from the old-fashioned dinner and movie to taking a hot air balloon ride through the countryside.  Yet even with all the different dates, you’d been on with people you barely knew or knew really well, you had never felt such a strong connection with someone as you had Sam Wilson.

The date hadn’t even been that outstanding.  If you’d described the date to someone and only said the things you did, you were sure they’d tell you it sounded horrible.  Sitting outside Madison Square Garden with an ice cream listening to a band neither of you had paid to see sounded cheap and lazy.  Yet it had been fun, and relaxed, and you had loved talking to him.  He had somehow managed to both listen to you in a way that made you feel like you were the most important person in the world and to be able to hold your attention with every story he told.

Chapter 31

The sound of joyful screams and laughter blended with the carnival music, wafting around the beachside amusement park along with the smells of fried foods and cotton candy.  It was the day of the festival that was being held for all the families of children who had been left behind before the blip.  It was an event that you had worked hard to organize in the hopes that the newly blended families could see they weren’t alone.  You wanted them to see that the world was different now and that different could be good.  You wanted to celebrate these new families and how they had adapted to the world.

Chapter 30

The date night with Steve and Bucky and been perfect.  The fear that they’d take everything the wrong way had been completely unjustified.  They’d loved the nostalgia attached to each part and in a way, it gave them something that they had been missing.  It was easy enough for you to share your past with them.  You could take them to see the house you grew up in.  You had photos of your time in school and with your family.  There were ways you could share the nostalgia of your childhood with them that were easy and they could find joy in.  The same wasn’t true for either Bucky or Steve.  Sure some of the buildings were still around but the city had changed so much.  It was a rare moment that they could share something with you that was from their childhood.  That was especially so for Bucky whose memories of the time were hazy and muddled.  The date for him had been like he’d rediscovered a part of his past.

Chapter 29

“Bucky!  Have you got any cash for school lunches?” Steve called down the stairs as he tried to wrangle both Alice, Jacob, and Isabella down with their backpacks.  There was a familiar energy to the house that made it feel more like home than it had in months.  The same kind of noisy chaos from back before the blip, when you and Steve carried grief with you together, supporting each other in a way that had created a happy loving home.  That was how things had been lately.  Yes, it was different.  Jacob lived with Callie in the flat out the back, and Isabella only really came to stay one weekend out of three.  Yet, it was becoming normal again.  Not just normal.  Good.

It was Monday – the worst day for getting them all to school, and today was extra chaotic because Isabella had spent the weekend with you and Callie had been out late on a date.  You appreciated the time with just Steve, Bucky, and the kids, and even more, you appreciated the chaotic struggle to get them all out the door on time.

Chapter 28

Resilient.  It was probably the word that best described you.  Change hurt and sometimes it felt like you were broken and there was no way you would ever really be happy again.  Then slowly those happy moments returned and became more common until they outweighed the grief and the sadness and stress you were carrying, and you could once again say you had a happy life.  That life – and the happiness that surrounded it might be completely different to the one that came before, but it was happiness.  You might break, but you were always able to pull yourself back together and find something new.

This new life was strange in so many ways.  Your closest friend lived in a two-bedroom annex you’d built in your backyard with Jacob, a boy you both considered a son.  You lived in the house with your husband and his boyfriend – a man you were quickly starting to think of as your boyfriend too, and your daughter Alice.  Your oldest son Ryan was away at college, and your other daughter Isabella was gone, taken by her biological parents.  It was a strange family setup where their links of biology were rare with only you and Alice, and Callie and Jacob sharing them, and where there seemed to be far too many parents than you’d normally find.  Yet, while you still missed Bella and grieved for her every day, you had found happiness again.

Chapter 27

A month after coming to Steve with your proposal that he could be with both you and Bucky, the house had begun to settle into a new kind of normalcy.  Work was slowing down now that there was a legal ruling regarding custody, and you were mostly working on running support groups for both parents who had now lost their adoptive children and the ones having to come to terms with missing five years of their children’s lives.  Sometimes you still needed to play mediator, but it was only to help families who wanted to work together to give a child the best possible outcome.  You were less stressed, and you weren’t needed as much.
